THERE was a veritable Golden Age of superheroes before and after World War II and one of the greatest was The SKYMAN, created by legendary comics creators Gardner Fox and Ogden Whitney. After battling criminals, Nazis, mad scientists and monsters, the Aerial Avenger went out of print in 1949… until ACE Comics publisher Ron Frantz acquired the rights from publisher Vince Sullivan and released The Return of the Skyman in 1987 by Mort Todd & Steve Ditko. NOW as we honor the 75th Anniversary of SKYMAN's first appearance in BIG SHOT Comics #1 in 1940, ACE Comics is releasing a bunch of fun titles to celebrate! The Original SKYMAN Golden Age Collector Comics series reprints the 1940s issues of SKYMAN' solo comics.
